Pete is one of the founding champions of the 24-7 Prayer movement and leads Emmaus Rd with Sammy. They live in Guildford with their two sons, and their two dogs, Noodle & Crumble. Pete is an ambassador for the NGO Tearfund and served for seven years on the senior leadership team of HTB in London. Pete is a renowned author and his books include Red Moon Rising, God on Mute and Dirty Glory. He loves live music, decent coffee, Portsmouth FC and art galleries. He’s happiest climbing mountains, knocking down walls or whizzing around the local country lanes in his 1964 Morris Minor convertible.
Sammy became a Christian just up the road from Guildford at the age of seventeen. Working together in team ministry since they were first married more than 20 years ago, Sammy & Pete have planted two churches. With a background in business, Sammy is a proud mum to two teenage boys, and can often be found reading highbrow books in quiet corners of local coffee shops. Less impressively, she admits to having watched the Bridget Jones movie more than thirty times, and to having once been lead singer in a pub covers band.

He is passionate about people encountering the presence of God. And Fulham FC! Bill loves good stories.
Nici keeps Emmaus Rd running! When not in the office or looking after her three boys she will be found taking on the Surrey Hills in preparation for her next triathlon. Erik and his wife Rebecca moved to Woking as missionaries over 20 years ago. With a dedication to seeing God’s people demonstrate God’s love in tangible ways, they have kick-started lots of crazy ventures and projects. This includes founding The Lighthouse – a huge derelict building now turned into a vibrant hub that cultivates community transformation through various innovative projects. On days off, Erik can be found in the corner of a good coffee shop, exploring the Surrey Hills, or strumming his guitar – with great passion and little skill!
With a passion for transformation and justice, Rebecca has spent more than a decade working alongside individuals as a coach for personal transformation, and has over 25 years’ experience in missional transformation, including church planting, and pioneering Christ-centred social action. Rebecca is happiest when she is designing and creating beautiful and safe spaces where people can relax and flourish. She loves spending time with her 3 sons, and exploring new cities with her husband Erik.
