The Founders Prayer Room: Out-Of-Hours
All day
About

FAQS

What is a Prayer Room?

“A 24-7 Prayer room is a creative prayer space that enables a chain of unbroken prayer, bringing friends, communities and churches together to seek the presence of God.” We prepare our room in Founders around a theme(s) and plan prayer activities for people to engage with.

Why should I use the prayer room?

1. Getaway & focus: Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, [Jesus] said to them, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” So they went away by themselves in a boat to a solitary place.” – Mark 6:31&32

We can be so distracted & caught up with the busyness of life, and as He did the disciples the Lord invites us to step away with Him and spend time in His presence. Going to a physical space helps with that and that’s one of the reasons we offer the prayer room.

2. Connecting with the prayers of the church: Be encouraged by the prayers, words of encouragement and creativity of others. In the words of 24-7 Prayer “as the room begins to fill with people’s prayers and heart cries, it can reveal what God is doing in the lives of your group and helps with accountability as you pass the baton of 24-hour prayer.”

How do I use a prayer room?

It’s up to you! Below are some suggestions for individual or group prayer with family/friends/collective:

  • Use the prayer activities to focus your prayers;
  • Draw, paint, or write a poem;
  • Read the Bible or books provided;
  • Play some praise & worship music to dance or sing to;
  • Bring an instrument along with you to play (guitar provided);
  • Soak in the Lord’s presence.

Ultimately, allow the Holy Spirit to lead your time.

How do I book a slot and access the prayer room?

When you sign up for 30 mins or more, you will receive a confirmation email with more information on accessing Founders.

What do Morning Prayers generally look like?

We use the P.R.A.Y structure:

REJOICE with singing, and reflect on a Bible passage;
ASK God to move in different situations, seeking His Will as we intercede;
YIELD to God, trusting in His character and in His will for our lives.

Our meetings are a safe environment to practice hearing from God, share what you sense the Holy Spirit wants to share through you, as well as mature in prayer, discernment and other spiritual giftings. Strengthening the Soul Groups – Life & Leadership
All day
About

Are you hungry for more of God than you are experiencing right now? Wondering how to access “the more”? Our Strengthening the Soul Groups are spaces that will help you draw closer to God and enter a process of spiritual transformation.

This is a committed 8-month journey (October – May) where small groups bond over a shared meal and then reflect on ‘Strengthening the Soul of Your Leadership’ by Ruth Haley Barton once a month. At the end of the journey, there will be retreat for all groups (more information sent later). We have two branches for our Strengthening the Soul Groups – Soul Sisters and Soul Brothers.

Please note: the sessions are not drop-ins. We ask that you commit to the whole journey in order to invest good time into encounters with God in the places you need Him most.

This is an invite from the Lord to sit with Him and examine the state of your soul in life & leadership. Will you take up the call?
