Waverley Abbey has a vision for encounter with God to be at the heart of everything they do, and that it would be a house of prayer for all nations. Time and time again the feedback from visitors is that they sense peace and the presence of God when they are onsite and many students report that their time there is transformational. This is encouraging, but there is more of God than is being experienced right now, for a move of God in and through Waverley Abbey that would transform not only individuals, but our nation and the nations.
Part of the strategy is to host 4 weeks of 24-7 prayer each year, and the next one begins on 20th January and finishes on the 27th with a ‘Furnace’ a day of extended worship from 9 am – 6 pm. During Prayer Week, there will be lunch hour worship Monday to Friday at 12:30, and evening worship Monday to Friday that week at 8 – 9 pm. Let’s pursue God’s presence and His purposes together!
Book the Waverley Prayer Room for an hour (or more) here.

Jesus in Matthew 6:33 says we should “seek first [God’s] kingdom and His righteousness.” This is our posture every morning when we gather at 8am on Zoom, and for the next season, we will be even more intentional to dig deeper and create more space for the Holy Spirit to move. During this time, we invite members of the community to fast if they can. Find out the schedule and the fasting guide by clicking here.

Bereavement can impact us hugely and affect all areas of life.
Developed at Holy Trinity Brompton and appreciated by thousands of people over 20 years, The Bereavement Journey is for anyone who has been bereaved at any time and in any way.
By means of a series of films and discussion in small breakout groups, you will be gently guided through the most common aspects of grief, enabling you to process the implications for yourselves and discern next steps.
The Bereavement Journey is five weeks long, with an optional sixth week looking at faith questions in bereavement.
If you would like to join us on the Bereavement Journey, we would love to welcome you to fill out a sign-up form.

What do Morning Prayers generally look like?
We use the P.R.A.Y structure:
PAUSE to be still before God;
REJOICE with singing, and reflect on a Bible passage;
ASK God to move in different situations, seeking His Will as we intercede;
YIELD to God, trusting in His character and in His will for our lives.
Our meetings are a safe environment to practice hearing from God, share what you sense the Holy Spirit wants to share through you, as well as mature in prayer, discernment and other spiritual giftings. Ultimately our prayer meetings are classrooms, and so we invite people to come prepared to be catalysed and stretched! Join screen on or screen off from anywhere in the world.

REJOICE with singing, and reflect on a Bible passage;
ASK God to move in different situations, seeking His Will as we intercede;
