Morning Prayer
8:00am
About

A 40-minute morning gathering on Zoom held Monday – Sunday on Zoom at 8am.

We would love for you to join! Please note, due to a couple of Zoom hijacking incidents on Morning Prayer in recent weeks, there is a new link and password you will need to email and ask for.

Please email [email protected] for details to join. If you are new to Emmaus Rd, or don’t attend Emmaus Rd, let us know a bit about yourself and where you are joining from! (Please note this inbox is monitored Monday-Wednesdays until 4pm)

What do Morning Prayers generally look like?

We use the P.R.A.Y structure:

PAUSE to be still before God;
REJOICE with singing, and reflect on a Bible passage;
ASK God to move in different situations, seeking His Will as we intercede;
YIELD to God, trusting in His character and in His will for our lives.

Our meetings are a safe environment to practice hearing from God, share what you sense the Holy Spirit wants to share through you, as well as mature in prayer, discernment and other spiritual giftings. Ultimately our prayer meetings are classrooms, and so we invite people to come prepared to be catalysed and stretched! Join screen on or screen off from anywhere in the world.

The Last Supper Unveiled: A Passover Experience
7:30pm
About

Join us to explore the significance of The Last Supper as we journey through a Passover Seder meal using a modern Messianic Haggadah (a Passover liturgy), entering the Exodus story and highlighting the connections between Passover traditions and the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. Delving into the elements Jesus shared with his disciples in the Upper Room, we’ll uncover the symbolism behind the Passover and discuss the significance of the bread and wine within the context of the new covenant.

The event includes a two-course buffet-style meal, and you will be able to take home the Haggadah booklet as a memento. There is a small charge to cover the cost of this event. Due to limited availability, please register early to secure your spot.

Easter Theology Night: ‘Why Did Jesus Die?’
7:30pm
About

With Dr. Jason Clark.

Every Easter we recall the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus. And this might bring up questions for you such as why did Jesus die? What happened on the cross? Did Jesus die for everyone? What does Christ’s death and resurrection mean for me in my everyday life? At our April theology and faith evening, we will explore this and more. We’d love you to join us to learn more about Easter, and bring all your questions.
